Our story starts, where else, but on the Mediterranean coast. In the summer of 2015, Demi’s owners Daniella and Jimmy Tsamouras spent a month traveling the region, reconnecting with their family roots in both Italy and Greece. As established restaurateurs who grew up in the industry, their trip was full of food, wine and cocktails, and after each experience Daniella and Jimmy would wonder “why aren’t we making food like this for our customers back at home?”

When they got back home to Richmond, they decided to do just that. Each dish they create at Demi’s isn’t just a souvenir, but a portal to sun soaked coasts, fresh flavors and the type of relaxing, unrushed atmosphere that often only feels possible on vacation. Nestled in the heart of the Northside neighborhood, Demi’s transports guests through fine cuisine, excellent service and a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to linger and enjoy.
ABOUT THE CHEF
Jimmy Tsamouras
Jimmy grew up in his family’s restaurant business, cutting his teeth on the rigorous, everyday ins and outs of the industry as well as the kitchen. He’s a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in kitchens all over the country including Scottsdale, New York City, Hilton Head and even Hawaii before returning to Richmond to open his own restaurants. He and his wife, Daniella, own and operate several of Richmond’s most beloved restaurants and businesses including Dot’s Back Inn and Spa310. At Demi’s he’s able to reconnect with and express his Greek heritage through inspired dishes that exceed typical Mediterranean menu fare.
